Event Guide

Format

Players will play in a mixed format reminiscent of the old Nationals, with Modern Constructed and a Draft of the new Lost Caverns of Ixalan set played across two days. The top 8 players with the highest combined score across the two formats will advance to the elimination rounds.

Competitors are required to use the same Modern deck for all constructed portions of the event.

Competitors are responsible for knowing all tournament rules.

Competitors are responsible for bringing their own appropriate counters and tokens.

Decklists must be submitted to MTG Melee by 23:59 GMT on Thursday 16 November 2023.

Qualification

Earning a top 8 finish at any of our 2023 MEGA Modern tournaments secured an invite to the Axion Now Invitational. If a player had already received an invite from a previous MEGA Modern event, the invitation was passed down to the highest scoring swiss players outside of the top 8.

40 players have earned their spot at the Invitational through top finish in one of our five MEGA Modern tournaments throughout 2023.

Prizes

Players will compete for the ultimate prize of a direct ticket to the Pro Tour 2024. With prizes also awarded to top 8 finishers.
